God does not give and take away!

God gives and only gives – He does not give and then take away, it doesn’t seem to make sense to me – won’t that even depict unstable mind? But the bible says God is Faithful i.e. constant, dependable and He doesn’t like us to be unstable in our mind, so why would He be? (Deuteronomy 7:9 – Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he [is] God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;) and all good and perfect gifts comes from Him…James 1:17, so no bad or imperfect gift comes from God! It’s the devil that does the taking away e.g. in the life of Job, the devil went to ask permission from God if he could take away the good gifts God had blessed Job with – you see? The devil is the one that tries to steal our joy, our blessings, our loved ones, our family members, our friends, our happiness, our purpose, our health, our future, our dreams, our destinies, our cars…name it! The bible has actually told us that the devil has come to Kill, Steal, and destroy John 10:10 (The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life). But friends and family, it is time to take back all that the devil has ever stolen from us. It’s take back time!!! Rise from that depression and look the situation in the face and say I am taking it back. God gives only good and that’s what I’m having, so devil give me back my stuff!!! It’s take back time!!! Full restoration!!!
Remember all God does is give good gifts and God continues to give, give give, and give some more while the devil tries to steal, steal, steal, kill, kill, kill, destroy, destroy, destroy, and destroy completely!!!

This day as you have read this piece, I pray that you will have the courage to get up and get back all that the devil (enemy of our prosperity!) has ever stolen from you!

Be blessed x

    Let me throw another light into this;
    Are God and Devil rivals or mates? If you permit an action, are you not as guilty as the person that carries out the action? If you are a parent, would you permit any danger near your baby? By the way, on the Job story, God, (YHWH) actually boasted about Job in the first place. The whole Job story is somehow. It looked like a power play between rivals as opposed to a creator and a creation.

    You mentioned that it’s the devil that kills, destroys, etc. Are you familiar with parts of the scripture where nations were wiped out on God’s (YHWH) commands? Killed by their fellow humans? In today’s language we call such genocides. In Isaiah 45:7, YHWH says he created both good and evil.

    Most of human problems tend to be more mental as opposed to being caused by the devil that we blame all the time. Just my opinion from my short stay on this planet.

    Nice write up I should say.

      Thanks for your comment sir.

      I don’t believe God and Devil are mates, I believe they are rivals! One stands for light while the other stands for darkness. One is for truth, while one is full of lies! I believe if the punishment you’re permitting is for the person’s good, then you will permit it, wouldn’t you? You remember in Job’s story, God allowed Satan to test Job to certain extent, He told the devil you can do whatever you want with everything he possesses, but don’t harm him physically (Job 1:12). Then when that didn’t really kill Job’s spirit (i.e. he still praised God when he lost everything Job 1:20), then Satan asked for permission to do more evil to Job i.e. take his health, and God said touch all he has but not his life Job 2:6. It doesn’t really look like power tussle to me though because the devil kept coming back to ask for permission if he could go further with his havoc i.e. steal, kill and destroy more? It looks to me like it was still clear who is the creator in that story. There’s even another message that I’ve just seen in this Job’s story – will share later:-)

      From the bible, we were told that it’s the devil who kills, steal and destroys (John 10:10) and I know those scriptures where God commanded nations and peoples to be wiped out – I asked myself the same question for a long time (i.e. if God is a good God why did he command all that killing to be done back then? If the bible says good and perfect gifts come from God, why did He say they should go and kill people?) and what I want you to maybe think about is was God not bringing judgement on those who had done evil in these places? Is genocide the same? Have these people who are deliberately killed during genocides done any evil? Besides, I believe when Jesus came, he came to satisfy the wrath of God that used to lead to those kind of punishment – we now have peace with God because of what Jesus did for us (Rom 5:1). I believe Jesus has come to take that punishment in our place, and we seem to be under different grace these days, don’t you think (Rom 5:1-11)? – A new dispensation full of grace I call it! Otherwise shouldn’t fire and brimstones be rained on everybody by now? – considering how much everybody goes against God’s commands these days and how much immorality there is everywhere? I might not really be able to answer why God commanded those who did evil in his sight to be punished and judged in that way in the old testament but these are just my thought…

      I agree that a lot of human problems are caused by humans themselves especially based how humans think because as a man thinks so is he i.e. how our mind is (Prov 23:7) – so most definitely, a lot of human problems are mental but we shouldn’t forget that there’s an enemy to our soul (soul refers to the part of us that thinks, chooses and feels i.e. our mental faculty, emotions etc) that we also wrestle against Eph 6:10-12 but the main focus of this article is for those under that new dispensation of receiving all that Jesus accomplished for us and not letting anything (either the devil, our circumstances or even us ourselves) snatch what’s ours in God through Christ Jesus!!! This is already turning to another blog…lol…we’ll have to catch up further on this by phone 🙂

      Bless you exceedingly much for reading the article and for your comment, much appreciated!!!

    Wow! This is very timely! Beyond material things, I look at the peace, joy and security the Devil has taken away from Nigerians and I say… “Give it all back! They are not yours!”

    Thanks sister. More grace in Jesus’ name. Amen.

    • bolaoyinloye says:

      Amen brother! Give it all back in Jesus mighty name. We take back all that has been stolen, and destroyed in our beloved country Nigeria by the authority in Jesus name. Amen
