I will do a new thing…

You might have experienced great things happen in your life before now and you might have even witnessed it happen in other people’s lives…! Now that’s great, but it’s nothing compared to what God is about to do in your life. He says in Isaiah 43:18 “But forget all that has happened before now (the successes, the breakthroughs, the open doors, the turnaround etc) – it is all nothing compared to what I am going to do. I hope you are seeing this? All those victories you’ve heard and seen is nothing compared to what He’s about to do in your life, through your life and for you. He is set to do a new and wonderful thing; such like you’ve never seen or experienced before.

Here is verse 19 “For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland! God says, He is about to do a new thing and ‘new’ signifies something that has never existed before – so God is set to do something that has never existed before in your life, family, ministry, career, relationships, all spheres of your life. He said, He’s actually started this new thing but you’ve got to see it with your eyes of faith! You need to begin to picture those things that He’s spoken to you about (begin day dreaming, or bring back those long lost desires and dreams…) and ponder on everything God is doing and what is happening in your life because He has begun a NEW thing already; both in your life personally and in all the world. A new army has arisen!!

You might have stayed in a seemingly stand still position for a long time and you might have even gotten used to this status; God says “get up and begin to move because I am about to make ways in the wilderness and rivers in the desert”. You might have stayed in lack for so long that you don’t even know how to live in sufficiency not to talk of abundance, God says “get up and begin to expect me to move on your behalf for the rain of abundance is about to fall – I am going to do a new thing” You might have been single for so long that you don’t even expect that anyone can approach you, God says “shake that thought off and begin to expect me God to do something new”. If you were meant to stay in the state that you’re in, God wouldn’t have put a desire for greater in you! He doesn’t put desires in us to frustrate us, He puts the desires in us to fulfil them – He himself will do it and He’s promised that I’m about to do something New! Don’t be afraid, don’t be in doubt and unbelief, don’t say how can these things be, just believe God and say out loud (in the devil’s face) “Lord I believe that in my life and in my situation you are about to do something New, I believe it, I receive it and I expect to see the manifestation of your word!”

How many people are still expectant? We hear the word of God so often; like this one above but we don’t see things change or we don’t experience the manifestation of the word in our lives…do you know why? It’s because we fail to think long enough on the word (meditation – e.g. picture the areas of your life that you could benefit from New things happening for example) and expect it to happen. So we might be joyful when we hear the word because it sounds good and we start believing and expecting but we let the word slip, we then stop focusing on the word, we lose sight of it and stop expecting. Expectation however is the breeding ground for miracles! You’ve got to keep expecting and believing that the word God has spoken will come to pass!

So friends once again I remind you of God’s word to you – Isaiah 43:18-19 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

New things are about to happen!!! Believe, Expect, Receive, and See it!!!
